| Fix: | 1. Try logging into Netset by going to Start, Programs, Primavera, Netset and use default password of netset. If this does not work contact Primavera Customer Support at (610) 668-3030. From being unable to get into Netset we can determine that either you forgot the password (See 1 above) or the userfil.p3 was corrupted, therefore, we need to replace the userfil.p3 file. Note: When replacing the userfil.p3 you will lose all P3 usernames and passwords, therefore, see step 3 below on how to get list of P3 usernames from corrupt userfil.p3. [Step 3 assumes that you already replaced userfil.p3 file. If you did not, just do part a and then replace the userfil.p3 file.] See solution 199951710330 How to replace the USERFIL.P3 file. 3. How to get a list of all P3 usernames in Userfil.p3 file? After replacing the userfil.p3 file we were able to access netset which proved that it was a corrupt userfil.p3. But then we needed to get a list of the old usernames so we could add them into the new userfil.p3 file. To do this, do the following: a. Download the Userfil.zip file from solution 200131121323 into a new folder on your local C Drive. Then extract the Userfil.exe file into that new folder. By double clicking on this file it creates two files userfil.err and userfil.txt. This userfil.txt file contains all of the P3 usernames. In our case, it will contain the default usernames because we just replaced the userfil.p3 file. b. To get the old P3 usernames, rename the userfil.p3 file to userfil.good and rename the userfil.old file to userfil.p3. This way we are now using our old userfil.p3 file which contains the usernames. Then go to this new folder and double click on the USERFIL.exe which will create a userfil.txt file in that folder which will possess all of our previous P3 usernames. c. Then go back and switch the userfil.* files. Rename Userfil.p3 to Userfil.old, and rename Userfil.good to userfil.p3. Now we are using the new good userfil.p3 file. d. Then go to Options, Register users and add the usernames in by clicking on the plus sign. By default the password will be the username until it is changed by going to Options, Change password. 4. Need full control of P3work, userfil.p3, and prmzfil.p3 file. |
